A Licensed Mental Health Professional Here to Guide You

I have worked in the mental health field in different capacities for 10 years. I received my Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Sacramento and my Master's in Counseling - Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, East Bay. 

I specialize in working with the LGBTQ+ community and families including gender non-conforming, non-binary and transgender youth and adults. I am a sex-positive therapist. I have knowledge and experience working with polyamorous/ethically non-monogamous individuals and families.

I am certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy for children 1-8 years old and FirstPlay Therapy for children 0-3 years old.  I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy which is a skill based therapy that teaches new habits to create positive change.

Researched the factors effecting social and emotional development of children and adolescents.

2014-2015

As a trainee in graduate school, I provided individual and group therapy to survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual assault and human trafficking.

2015-2018

After I graduated with my master's degree I worked in community mental health with children, adolescents and young adults ages 2-21 providing individual, group and family therapy.

Mental Health Consultant

2018-2020

I provided mental health consulting to daycares and preschools throughout Sacramento County. I coached teachers and program directors on how to use strategies to manage challenging behaviors.

Private Practice Therapist

2019-Present

I started my private practice in 2019 in midtown and then moved to my East Sacramento office. I provide therapy by video, phone and in-person.
